Usually, I start with an individual photo of the wheel but with these wheels aren’t going to get lost in the photo.
This GTi belongs to Carter Jackson of Regina Saskatchewan and more importantly the wheels are the Rotiform cast 1-piece BLQ.
Most people would just order the wheels and put them on their car, but Carter is a little bit different. Carter chose to have the wheels powder coated orange before they arrived at their new home.
The 18X8.5 are paired with H&R coils which help make this car the perfect daily. It is the subtle things that make this car like the carbon fibre wing and roof rack but the wheels are what make it an eye magnet.
It has been an unusually mild winter so far, this means Carter can drive this car year round as if it was summer.
Carter has been a friend of the blog since the beginning, he lent his support before it was ok to have bird decal and that is why it is so surprising that we haven’t featured his car on the site.
That doesn’t mean that this is a favour to a friend, even if I didn’t know Carter I would have still wanted to do this shoot. Rotiforms have been getting a lot of well deserved press and Carter has been about them even before they swept the SEMA Show floor or were RWB approved.
Carter is usually known for loud noises and bad decisions, but nothing about this car says that. Yes, the wheels are loud, but bad decision? Never.
