I’ll be honest with you. Putting together the Rundown isn’t usually too tough with the motorsports calendar of events in full swing through the spring/summer/fall months. With it being winter and there being no more series in play it is a challenge to dig up material to keep you guys interested/entertained. So today we have a little of everything; Supercars, Formula 1, JDM Cars and some other stuff. Let’s begin……
The final round of the Formula One 2011 Championship ran yesterday in Brazil in what was a fairly uneventful race. Vettel didn’t win which was refreshing. Some how he managed to finish the race in second with what is rumoured to be less than a quart of transmission oil. Mark Webber ended up winning his first race of the season and ended up narrowly clinching 3rd place in the championship standing by one point over Fernando Alonso.
This is what the top 5 from the Brazillian Grand Prix looked like:
1. Webber (Red Bull)
2. Vettel (Red Bull)
3. Button (McLaren)
4. Alonso (Ferrari)
5. Mass (Ferrari)
And the final 2011 Championship Standings:
1. Vettel
2. Button
3. Webber
4. Alonso
5. Hamilton
Robert Kubica of Poland (not Saskatoon) looks like he will be sitting out next year’s Formula 1 championship. Kubica was involved in a bad accident while participating in a rally during the off season last winter.
Ken Gushi, according to the rumourmill, will be piloting a Scion FR-S next year in Formula D. Over the next few months we should be hearing about other driver and vehicle changes for the 2012 Formula D campaign. I will keep my eyes posted and make sur eyou know about them as they happen.

After visiting a couple of message boards over the weekend I have seen a few posts pointing to a petition to have the American government change the grey market importation laws in the States from 25 to 15-years. Everyone up here in Canada cross your fingers and hope this doesn’t happen. If it does I have a feeling auction/used car prices will jump substantially.

AEM has come up with a new product which is essential a dyno that your car wears. The ‘Dyno-Shaft’ slips over the output shaft of the transmission and wirelessly transmits data to the driver. Street tuning has just reached a new level. 🙂 For more info you can check it out for yourself at AEM’s website.

Last, but not least, everyone remembers seeing the video of ZR Auto’s Enzo taking a bath in the Atlantic Ocean a couple of months ago while participating in the Targa Newfoundland Rally. ZR Auto had a whole fleet of cars participating and in the process they came up with a video of the event that they will be selling. The Bluray/DVD goes on sale December 3rd. Here is the trailer:
That Dyno-shaft thing seems pretty neat.
