What can I say? Some of the boys are down in Las Vegas to cover this year’s SEMA Show for DODOlogic. I wish I was there, but I am not so I will do what I can do from here in the flat-lands to help the guys get their content up on the site for everyone to enjoy. Today in the Rundown we will talk some SEMA Show, some racing, some drifting and some other stuff. Let’s begin……..
SEMA Show 2011 promises to be the largest in a few years and there are a few things I am personally looking forward to. One is the hype leading up to RAUH Welt-Begriff landing in the USA. Mark Arcenal of Fatlace/illest/Hellaflush fame is behind most of it. Mark’s green 911 will apparently be in the Falken Tire booth while Ken Block’s ‘Hoonigan’ branded one will also be in attendance. Just today Mayday Garage in Texas spilled the beans and told the world they also have a RWB 993 chassis in the works. What will come of all this? Who knows. What this does though is takes a used $15,000 car and makes it a pretty outrageous looking $30,000 car. 🙂
Make sure you follow DODOlogic here, on Facebook and on Twitter for all the latest from the floor at the SEMA Show.

The Formula D Press Conference takes place at the Media Center at the SEMA Show Wednesday afternoon. Announcements will be made concerning plans for the 2012 season including the schedule. We will be there and bring you the highlights.

As I mentioned last week, Formula One is adding a second U.S. date starting in June of 2013 in New Jersey. The race will take place just across the Hudson River from downtown Manhattan in West New York, NJ and Weehawken, NJ. Seventy-five thousand temporary seats will be erected on the 3.1 mile temporary street circuit. Average ticket prices will be $360 for the weekend and word has it NASCAR may be using the circuit the weekend before the F1 cars lay rubber.

Still on the topic of Formula One, the inaugural running of the Indian Grand Prix took place just outside of New Delhi this weekend. While the television coverage showed what looked to be a lot of haze/smog the brand new track otherwise looked awesome. Sebastien Vettel opened up a 2-plus second lead four laps into the race and didn’t look back to finish in 1st place for the 11th time this season. Jenson Button was 2nd and Fernando Alonso was 3rd. Next up on the schedule is Abu Dhabi in two weeks.
