A couple of weeks ago I titled this weekly column ‘Heatwave’. That was just practice for this week which we will actually be seeing temperatures into the 40’s after the humidity is factored into the equation. I have nothing else……..
With a new sponsor and a new venue, DTP returned to Vancouver this past Saturday. Rocky Mountaineer Station was the new venue and Yokohama was the new sponsor for this show that has its roots going way back to 2002 when it first showed up as a stop on the Import Showoff Tour. Our opportunistic Ryan Benoit just happened to be in Vancouver and stopped by for some pics. Expect some coverage here at DODOlogic sometime today or tomorrow.

I don’t know how many of you saw this, or even knew about it, but the “The Car Show” debuted on Speed Channel this past Wednesday. The show features Adam Carolla along with a couple other guys including a former magazine/newspaper columnist and a retired NBA player. The show is based on the same type of formula as Top Gear and includes the wit and questionable humour that comes along with Carolla. Overall, not bad. If you want to check it out, “The Car Show” is on Wednesday evenings and is replayed between NASCAR races throughout the week.
The Edmonton Indy is this upcoming weekend and along with that comes the DMCC Drift demo. DODOlogic will have some sort of coverage if you can’t make it. The weekend after, DMCC West will be making a stop in Fort Saskatchewan at Stratotech Park for Round 2 of the 2011 series.
It appears Formula D’s Ryan Tuerck has a little brother with sights focused on him. Evan Tuerck is following the exact same footsteps as his older brother by taking part in DMCC East series this year. Evan is driving a 1990 240SX with the intentions of honing his skills in order to eventually making the jump to Formula D to take on his big brother.

Chris Forsberg and NOS are getting together to reward NOS drinkers with a drifting video game for mobile devices. Apparently it won’t be available for another 3 months but in the mean time you should check you DMCC’s drifting game that has been around for at least a year.

The next round of Formula D takes place on the 23rd and 24th at Evergreen in Washington. Thanks to it’s close proximity to Canada, we will be bringing coverage from the event to your screens from our very own team of RyanB and Richard. Rumour has it they are even going to be letting RyanB on the track this time.
