So growing up there was only one book that I ever read start to finish. Perhaps, if I would have read more of the books they assigned in school my grammar would be better today. If that was the case it would probably be a lot easier to read a lot of what I write. Anyway, that book that I soared through was S.E. Hinton’s “The Outsiders.” Although, I barely remember what happened in the book, I do remember the quote, “Stay golden Ponyboy.”
I figured it was appropriate for today’s post, as these pictures were taken on the way to Golden B.C. More importantly, what better way to describe Jack Connelly of Drift Squad. When everyone else insisted on towing their cars to Penticton, Jack drove his low and fitted drift car 8 hours to the track.
Yes, it required him to swap out his tires once we arrived and yes, every time he hit a bump we could smell burning rubber, but he didn’t let that stop him. I the face of adversity Jack stayed golden and drove hard all day at the track.
