This past weekend brought on the first round of DMCC West for both the Pro and the Pro-Am drivers. Aside from the ever changing weather in Calgary the weekend was amazing.
The Pro-Am event was great to watch as drivers of all different skill levels were present and ready to take part. Qualifying was very interesting as we saw some unfortunate upsets by some strong drivers. But that’s the way the cookie crumbles in drifting.
First round of the top 8 saw Colton Burns in his Cressidia…..
Go up against Jesse Weisner in his flat black S14. Jesse, being pretty consistent all day, nailed the run to move on.
Next up, Shawn Hartum ran against Chad Simpson.
Shawn scored a zero giving the win to Chad Simpson.
The next round saw Rob Houck in his 1J Laurel up against Brett Berger.
A win just wasn’t in the cards for Rob and Brett got to move on.
Saskatchwan’s own Nick Edwards was pitted against Brandon Bebe.
After a few OMT’s, Nick was awarded a win.
During the down time, I looked over and saw that some of the Pro’s and mechanics in the pits had what appeared to be a game of “Skate” going on.
Top 4 saw Jesse Weisner vs Chad Simpson. Jesse executed the course in style once again securing another win
Next in Top 4 was Nick Edwards vs Brett Berger. Brett couldn’t keep the pressure on Nick. Nick moved on to the Final round.
The Top 2 was Jesse Weisner vs Nick Edwards. Unfortunately for Nick he was out gunned by Jesse and was defeated in the final round.
After the day was done, the Podium stood 1) Jesse Weisner 2) Nick Edwards 3) Chad Simpson. Congratulations boys!
Cant wait for round 2!
Good stuff Ryan GEEE !
I do believe all of the concepts you’ve offered for your post. They are very convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very brief for beginners. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
