As I had mentioned in my last post, Saturday was the day we rolled with the VW’s. The best part of the day was the trip out to Regina Beach. I wanted to grab some rolling shots and before we hit our first pit stop I realized it was easier said then done. I fully expected a mellow highway cruise but I was wrong.
There was nothing mellow about the drive and when that was coupled with wind it made for some interesting moments.
By the first pit stop I had only managed to capture one usable picture.
So the convoy reconvened at weigh station and waited for the rest of the crew to catch up.
We were quickly on our way again, and this time I was able to get a lot more pictures. There is something so cool about snapping photos at high speeds. I wasn’t the only one taking pictures, it was a lot of fun to see people hanging of car windows trying to get a good shot.
Once we approached the front of the line we discovered that the lead car was in fact a four door civic. It was good to make me smile.
What VW post would be complete without a pic of Joe’s Jetta. Easily my favorite pic of the day. I hope everyone enjoyed a little taste of VW pie over the last two days. I would like to thank the people at SKdubs for letting us tag along for their meet. It was a great experience.
