The Majestics Car Show is pretty much the official start of the car season here in Regina. Even though there is still snow on the ground everyone came out to the car show in full force, even if they required a trailer.
Tyler Prill has one of my favorite cars in the city, and if Majestics kicks off our car season, what better way to start than with his 370z.
To be fair, even though Majestics lets the import enthusiasts share the spotlight it is really about the classics. Here is one of last years winners.
As cliche as it sounds, Majestics has become very eclectic with a little something for everyone.
Lamborghini’s aren’t really cars but attractions that are built with wheels and an engine. Both enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike can enjoy these cars and they always draw a crowd. I like to think of Italian sports cars as rolling art museums.
Blurred Vision Racing had brought out there fleet of race machines.
Something about the color scheme on the first car reminds me of the Joker, but perhaps I am being too serious. All kidding aside, the wash bay back drop does not do these cars justice.
It is like old School Muscle combined with Honda Ruckus culture in the video game world of “Fall Out.”
Jesse from Moose Jaw brought his FD out for its first major showing.
This car greeted us at the entrance and truly embodies the spirit of Majestics.
aside from the restored 70′ Honda 750 and 65′ Ducati, those Blurred Visions cars have got to be one of the coolest things ever, where do they race them? 3 flags?
Some one correct me if I’m wring but i think they race I’n manitoba at gimmily? And i remember gird brought one of them to auto x i think it was the lotus but needless to say he wasn’t allowed to compete again
Nice pic Ryan, Tyler’s 370z looks amazing at the show, one of my favorites for sure, and that little Fiat with the Honda bike motor was sweet, sounded mean when it got there for set up.
Hey guys, the purple formula car (like the joker bit, I’m thinking Marvin the Martian from looneytunes) is mine, and yes, we have ran them at 3 Flags, but mostly Gimli in Manitoba, as that is the closest road racing track to us Sask folk. We don’t make it out to 3 Flags often, as it’s a big job loading up the trailer – so we usually go racing when we do.
Gord certainly is allowed to run his Lotus at 3 Flags with the QCMA (just about any car can run with us). However, you may be thinking of his Lotus Elan (small convertible) which he sold a couple of years ago, so that’s why it isn’t out there anymore.
Finally (yes, I will quit jabbering), thanks to Ryan for taking such awesome shots of the cars – we’re hoping to lure him out to do a better shoot with us later in the summer (if he has time, of course).
