A couple of weekends ago I headed to Calgary for some much needed R&R. In the midst of taking it easy and visiting some friends and family, I heard that the “World Of Wheels” show was going on at the Round Up Center. With a camera, I made my way down to the show to see what was going on.
The show was 96% full of classic muscle and domestic cars. Now I’m a very “import” minded guy but I can appreciate hard work and dedication which everyone at this show has. Snapping as many pictures as possible, I kept moving towards the middle off the show.
A couple of ‘odd-ball’ cars caught my attention. This particular booth had three Honda’s all with their own unique mods.
This NSX is turbo’d and has some classy aero complementing some carbon fiber parts.
The S2000 is supercharged and has a nice time attack feel to it.
What stuck out the most was the Civic with a 3.0L Acura TL V6 engine swapped in then turbo’d. The owner hasn’t decided if he wants to time attack or drag race it quite yet.
As I kept moving, more and more unique vehicles popped out.
This VW was one of my favorite’s. Low and simple.
No words can express what this is. I tried to find some info on it but couldn’t find any. It sure is ‘different’?
My favorite part of this show was some good ol’ Subaru fun! On display was a very nicely done Street STi with a fully built engine and rotated turbo kit. Along side were a couple of rally spec Subaru’s from the Cochrane Rally series.
I Also managed to snap a quick picture of a Saskatchewan hero! (haha)
Brent Butt!
Some nice classics
