This Thursday I returned to Castrol raceway to shoot the growing Spec D practice events, and of course fix pylons!
“She was just admiring….mah ride”
This was my steady chariot for the evening, the banana boat, quite a fine machine actually.
You may have noticed the pictures look like they we’re taken in a dense fog, and look noisy. The fires in BC have become pretty big, and have covered Alberta in a thick blanket of smoke, this didn’t stop any drivers from showing up though, with the reduced visibility the action was still as intense as ever.
Kurtis pushing the SR86 the wrong way around the track
The smoke made for some very interesting back drops for the photos (And exposed just how dirty my camera is getting)
This crazy Toyota Supra was one of the most fun to shoot, and one of the hardest, the driver was practically throwing the car at the first clipping point. I have to find out more about this awesome looking Supra!
“Lock em up!”
The great part about the Spec D drift practices here, are not only do the drivers get to practice and have a blast doing so, I get to shoot lots and get some shutter time in for my self.
Brett Berger’s mean green fighting machine
Cutting it pretty close!
Two head lights and one sparking tire to wrap this up!
Thanks for checking it out!
