It’s not everyday you see an 80’s Jetta in this condition and this is why we’re posting this little monster here on DODOlogic.ca.
Joe (aka Heretic) is the owner of this very cool and tasteful 1986 Volkswagen Jetta.
Anything sitting on legit old school Enkei 92’s like these will get to a tasteful person’s heart. But that is just the beginning.
This VDub is not just another pretty face, with two big power mods under the hood. First a stock G-Lader supercharger and second a fat can of NOS set up for a 35 horsepower shot in the backseat. NOS in something that weighs roughly 2400 pounds makes this VDub a heavy hitter on the street.
Joe’s comment on the charger:
“As these chargers aged, if they weren’t rebuilt they would have a habit of literally exploding , often damaging the hood, so that’s why I painted mine like a Grenade with drab olive and yellow stencil style writing. ‘Explosivstoff’ is German for Explosive. Then everything kind of went green since I painted the Nitrous Solenoids and intercooler pipes to match.”
I had no idea it was pushing boost when I first saw the car and I really had no clue he was sporting NOS until I looked in the backseat. To be honest, I almost forgot about NOS — that’s just how much I see it these days. I feel like it was an honor to shoot this bad boy, it’s officially one of my new favorite cars on the street!
