This past Sunday in Calgary, illmotion and Beyond.ca put on the 3rd annual Sunday School Show & Shine and they couldn’t have asked for a better day to have it. It was a scorcher out there without a cloud in the sky, but not to worry because food trucks were out serving ice cold beverages. To go along with the show, there was a DJ providing music for your ears while you were admiring all the cars.
As you can imagine, there was no shortage of import cars at the show, but there was also a big motorbike presence. And even though these bikes weren’t in the show, I had to snap a picture of Spider-man’s bike.
A car show isn’t complete without having car problems. This SR20-powered AE86 broke on the way to the show, but that didn’t dampen his spirits as he proudly showed off his damage
It is always nice to see familiar faces, so it was a pleasure to see our good friends from Hotboyz at the show in full force with their booth. On a side note, I am used to seeing Eric Zapata’s 240sx sporting the multi-colour body, so seeing it as one colour was a nice sight to see.
This 1977 Mitsubishi Lancer was one of my favourite cars at the show, mainly because I have never seen one before. I would have liked to meet the owner, but they were never there when I walked by. What really surprised me about this car was that it was left-hand drive; I was expecting it to be imported given the great condition it was in.
