Odd Man Out Tuning is a local tuning shop that just opened in Regina, SK. After speaking with Jesse-Joe Curtis, one of the owners, it seemed apparent that I should pay them a visit with my camera. We originally planned for me to come out around noon on the Sunday, but neither of us were up in time due to a few too many beers the night before.
You’ll find their shop located near some local auto wreckers in the far north end of Regina. It’s nestled into a building big enough to cram 6 or so cars into. When I stopped by, we got 5 in with easily enough room to fit one more.
Just a forewarning here: the pictures may be a little misleading due to all the Subarus involved. Although the shop specializes in Subarus, they will work on anything you bring them.
Jesse-Joe is all about keeping the atmosphere of the shop pretty chill. The guys are always down for a chat so they needed somewhere to do so comfortably. The wheels resting so photogenically on the couch are actually on the Odd Man Out company car now. I don’t have a picture of the Forester, but take my word for it – it looks great!
While I was there, they had all the parts for a build they were about to start. The work benches were freshly covered in a couple thousand dollars of brand new parts. Who doesn’t like seeing brand new parts?!
The shop looks deceivingly small from the outside, but once you get inside and walk around, you realize these guys have a really nice work space. It definitely beats the shit out of my garage!
The graffiti office/bathroom adds some more style to an already styled space. Jesse tells me he wants to get more done in the future, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Going hand-in-hand with the shop is the Regional Subaru Owners Club, with Jesse-Joe being one of the founding members. A few other members stopped by while I was there.
I have to say I’m a big fan of what these guys are doing. Local shops need support and they are definitely headed in the right direction. As of right now, the shop is open evenings and weekends since all the guys still work their normal full-time jobs. I am sure once things start really picking up for them, they will work their way into being open regular Monday to Friday hours.
Feel free to stop by and check the place out, and maybe even say hello. And don’t forget to like/follow them on: Facebook – www.facebook.com/oddmanouttuning

I have a 95 Mitsubishi Eclipse for ssle but I need to get it tuned properly. The air to fuel mixture isnt right and it runs really rich. Think you guys can tune it.
