This is the one time of year when, for a few brief moments, I can stop thinking of what I need to do and look back at what I’ve done. I was really lucky this year because I got to see and do a lot of cool things. So here’s a simple list of the things I saw through my lens this year.
I visited the Fatlace Paddock and got to see how cool is manufactured.
I saw Chris Gonzalez up his game to the next level and continue his pursuit of happiness.
I learned about the trials and tribulations that our Winnipeg friends have to deal with for being a car enthusiast.
I said good bye to my 1991 Nissan 180SX.
Then I said hello to my UCF11.
I spent some time on the road with friends.
I saw a Ken Meri Skyline and acquainted myself more with the West Coast.
I got to spend time with more friends in different places doing things we love.
I finally got to see my friend Jordan get rewarded for all his hard work, which subsequently happened after he bought Work wheels. Go like the Hotboyz fan page to follow their success.
I saw a lot of people do what they do best, with a huge smile on their face.
I also saw our friends at Drift Union start some new endeavors. Just because they like to have fun and be fun.
I also learned how to bump-start a tow rig. But more importantly, I learned just how tight the drift community is.
I got to take an epic road trip down the West Coast and see sights that are usually unbeknownst to a guy from the prairies.
I drove through the forest moon of Endor.
I literally drove through a tree.
I stumbled upon this guy tearing up the streets of San Francisco.
If this wasn’t enough, I was lucky enough to shoot another FD event this year.
I learned how magic is made.
Back home in the prairies, I saw magnificent cars you usually only see on the internet.
I pretended to be a boss for a few seconds on the Vegas strip.
I spent some time in other people’s backyards seeing how they do things.
Like every other year, I spent countless hours roaming the showroom floors of SEMA.
Lastly, and most importantly, I married my best friend.
All in all, it was a pretty successful year. I’m thankful for every opportunity that’s been given to me, but I’m even more grateful there’s world out there of people who share this crazy passion for all things automotive and don’t mind being photographed.
Epic man, loved everything you guys did this year! Congrats on the “Game Over” lol. Cant wait for next year, maybe us guys up north can grace these great pages…one day
