Today’s post isn’t about a fancy set of Volks or the all too familiar Work wheels that find their way into these posts on a regular basis. No, today is about some wheels on a BMW.
Kings Park Speedway was full of a variety cars this past Saturday. Everything from Drift West cars down to near stock rides. Everyone was out and looking for that great drift experience.
This post is maybe meant to serve as a cautionary tale. I don’t really try to drift anymore, as it would seem I am more useful behind the camera opposed to the wheel. When I did try to track my car, my greatest fear was always damaging it beyond repair. However, it’s inevitable, in the sport of drifting eventually something will go wrong.
Kevin Cuddington had his inevitable incident sooner then most. Saturday was Kevin’s first day on the track and somewhere around mid day the rear end of his BMW met the wall. I have seen plenty of crashes in drifting but none to such a stock car. Luckily Kevin walked away unscathed and in the end it makes for a pretty ok story.
