Good day everyone. The Monday Morning Rundown is back after a short hiatus. The time away was mainly due to a shoddy internet connection, but you can add a little summer and lack of time as contributing factors. We will ease back into things gently here and try to brush off the cobwebs and stick to the basics. Let’s get the show on the road…….
First up I want to remind everyone about Redline Society’s Summer Heat Meet up in Saskatoon this upcoming weekend. Take the day trip up, hang out and talk cars then enjoy a 1-pounder at Fuddruckers. Perfect day. For more info check out the event page on Facebook.

This past Saturday there was a little get together of some exotics at a local dealership. Watch for a post in the near future.

Everyone is starting to ask about Fallout. With ongoing construction at the regular venue a new location needs to be secured. Right now we are looking at the second or third weekend in September.
When we have everything figured out you will be the first to know!

The famous Pike’s Peak Hill Climb took place over the weekend and several familiar names were involved in the action. Rhys Millen broke a course record for 2WD production cars in his Hyundai Genesis stopping the clock at 9:46. That is almost a minute and twenty seconds faster than his record breaking Run in the same chassis last year. Why so much faster you ask? The road to the top of the peak is now completely paved. Turns out the extra grip helps just a little. Also involved were names like Ken Gushi, Toshiki Yoshiaka, Monster Tajima and Andrew Comrie-Picard.

Round 5 of the Formula D Championship is just around the corner in Las Vegas. Nothing too exciting to note except for a possible new track layout and the return of Joon Maeng as a privateer in a LS2-powered S13.

Not too much going on in the big leagues. Everyone is taking a few weekends off until racing starts up again for IndyCar, Formula 1 and WRC.

That’s it for today. Have a good week. See you next Monday.
