“Early in the morning, risin’ to the street” is all I can think to start this post with, not because I’m a huge Sublime fan but more like it is exactly what we did on Saturday. Before we could get to Summer Session, we had to get to Saskatoon and that was nothing that a quick 2 hour cruise wouldn’t solve.
So 20 of Regina’s most dedicated car enthusiasts met in a parking lot, so we could drive up the highway to another parking lot. It doesn’t really make sense when you look at it that way, but that is the name of the game.
Some people like Travis Hilts thought it would be fun to not be predictable and park in one giant cluster, that or he knew it would make for a great photo op. Regardless it killed the time as we waited for others to arrive.
Mike and Aidan had only half arrived this morning. Unfortunately, Mike’s MKIV Supra was in Calgary getting a proper tune and Aidan was getting the Tra kyoto custom 6666 kit painted to match her 240 vert. However, they were nice enough to show up and show their support.
Jason was slatted with the task of picking up our merchandise that went on sale Saturday. So he packed his S14 full of boxes and soon we were all on our way.
The 2 hour drive gave me plenty of time to get some rolling shots.
Garett Hilts recently acquired some new part for his S-Chassis. The Kouki tails, exhaust and kit make this car amazing to look at from both the front and the back. The two Hilts’ brothers are really gettin’ after it with their S-Chassis’. It is cool to see some younger guys take some time and do some homework on how to build a nice-looking car.
Carter Jackson put away his VW for a little while so that we could get a better look at his Silvia.
I don’t know the owner of this Civic but here it is rolling along.
Evan Bahr and his FC just out for a cruise.
Most people planned to clean their car once we got to Saskatoon so that would explain the dirt. Even if it was cleaned before the road trip there is no way you could make it across the prairie highways without being splattered with insects.
Scott left his reliable Honda at home and thought that his daily would make for a better road-trip vehicle.
Scott learned or at least remembered a valuable lesson about why he drives Hondas.
After they replaced the coolant that had leaked out we manged to jump-start the car. However, it wouldn’t stay running and made some pretty awful noises. So the only legacy that was left behind that day was Scott’s Legacy.
Eventually we arrived at the meet and lucky for a few Regina guys and a few 306MotorClub guys had everything prepared. Next time, the actual meet.
Was just wondering if you had any shots of my car rolling up that you could email me.
Was the redline orange civic with blk and red rims
