Everyone start buying ramen noodles in bulk and pinching pennies. Drift season is almost upon us!! I’ve been keeping in contact with Eric Belec, the President of DMCC and he has some big plans for DMCC in the comming years. I can’t wait to see what this man with a plan pulls off. Already, there is some big news from DMCC. This year, they are holding Amateur events. I think its the first time they ever have!! Here is the low down.
So the basic things you need will be of course a drift worthy car that is presentable and safe. You will need a helmet that is SA2000 or SA2005, long pants and long sleeves and closed toe shoes. You will NOT need a cage or racing seat or harness. Your battery must be secure and the positive post must be covered.
The format will be a delayed tandem with the cars starting a few seconds apart from each other. The judging criteria will be the same as the PRO series, Line, angle, speed and impact. The judges will be 2 of the 3 judges from the DMCC West Pro judging panel.
(I assume the dates on this table are a little out of date and the events will fall on the same weekends as the Pro and Pro-Am events listed above)
