It has become blatantly obvious to me over the last couple of weeks that I need to do more prep for these Rundowns now than I did a few weeks ago before my son came into the picture. Usually I spent a few hours Sunday night constructing the Monday Morning post but now I find myself rushing at 4:30 on Monday Morning before I head to my real job. I will try and put as much down before I need to leave. Let’s start…….
Watch for a follow-up post on the SK Dubs meet from a couple of weekends ago. This time it will be from inside the owners group brought to you by Mr. Keith Putz. We love the VW guys and you should too. Also on the way is a feature on an NSX we found while in Winnipeg for Chris Gonzo’s bash and some coverage from Sunday Funday in Edmonton from Tony. Stay tuned……

Two of the biggest auto racing events in the world took place yesterday. First the Monaco Grandprix took over the streets of Monte Carlo once again and once again earning pole position turned out to be the big advantage for Mark Webber whol finished first. Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg continued his impressive season with second place and Fernando Alonso once again finished on the podium at 3rd.

The Indy 500 also took place in front of what looked to be a partly filled grand stand ant the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. On the last lap, Takuma Sato attempted a pass on Franchitti in turn one. The Japanese driver was pushed down the track by Franchitti and subsequently spun out and hit the turn one wall. Franchitti won the race, with Dixon second and Tony Kanaan third.

I haven’t had a chance to watch the WRC recap from this weekends Acroplis Rally, but the internet tells me this is how it all settled itself out:
