Hey everyone, I’m the new kid on the block, well technically the DODO guys have used my pictures before, but now I’m actually on the team. My name is Megan, I’m a photographer that lives in Saskatoon (at the moment) and loves vehicles.
I’ve been into cars my whole life, growing up I helped my dad on his classic ’56 Sedan Delivery. Then with photographing the drifting guys at the track I started learning about their cars and decided I wanted one. So I brought over a ’95 180sx and changed it to a Kouki Sileighty S13.4. It’s my project/fun/summer daily driver. I did track it, a few months after it came over…. it was a disaster . Let’s say I met the tire wall at least once. Since then, I haven’t had it on the track, mostly because we don’t have anywhere to drift around here. I have gotten a little better at drifting I’d say, but I am a LONG way from saying I can actually drift. Quite possibly in the future I’ll do an article on the progress of my car from start to current.
Besides my car I do have a dirt bike, it’s quite the love/hate relationship, I spend more time fixing it then riding it. The bike is a ’73 Yamaha 250TY. I’ve only gotten to ride it twice in the two years of owning it… quite sad I know, but problem after problem keeps popping up, I can’t expect much else of a bike that is almost 40 years old.
With that, here is my first go at posting. The Draggins Car Show was in Saskatoon not to long ago, and of course I took my camera. The following cars are some of the ones that stood out to me.
I liked the colour on this one, it looked original (I don’t know if it actually was or not). This one looked as if it drive right out of it’s time.
I love Rat Rods, I think they show the true personality of the owner, each one if different and no two are the same.
I think alot of people on this blog would like this car. It’s old meets new. I don’t like Bugs much but this one is an exception.
Last but not least, I think every car family that has kids should own one of these. This passed by me at the show and I caught it just out of the corner of my eye. I ended up chasing the family down the walkway trying to take inconspicuous photos while they were walking, I ended up having to ask them to stop so I could get a photo though. I thought this was so cool.
