Oh, hi there. It’s been a while since I made a post… months, actually, if anyone has been counting. So, let me refresh your memory of what DODOlogic/me is all about: we’re mostly about drifting, but drifting with nice cars.
When I’m not covering drift events (as I mentioned, it’s been a while), I’m trying to find content for the page. It’s been a tough go these last few years, so I mostly cover car shows and car meets.
Here’s the thing: there haven’t been many of those aforementioned shows/meets lately, and I work two blocks from the event centre that was holding the Vancouver Auto show. I had 45 minutes to kill and my camera was handy, so I stopped by for a quick look.
That’s about all I could cover in 45 minutes. In past years, there were more modified local cars that were placed in the show, but maybe I missed them in my rush. And maybe I missed something else very cool? Yes, there were plenty of Lambos, McLarens and Ferraris, but that’s to be expected as they’re a regular occurrence in downtown Vancouver. With the recent crackdown on modified cars, it’s way more rare to see mid-90s Japanese cars anywhere in the downtown area. It’s almost heartbreaking, because those are the cars I actually want to see at car shows. Without them, the auto show sort of feels like one big car dealership. However, I did enter two draws to win a car and I saw the new Supra, so maybe it wasn’t a complete bust. Thanks for reading! It’s nice to be back.
