These days I feel that “shows” and events are too focused on finding that award winner and that it’s all about trophies. Well, last Sunday the guys over at JoziKxlektive invited me to join them on their one year anniversary at the Velmore Estate in Centurion.
The day started at the local McDonald’s in Edenvale for a small meetup before heading off in a convoy to the event about 50km away.
On the way I managed to snap a few rolling shots.
Once we arrived at the event we knew it was going to be quiet relaxed. The venue is upscale and secluded, even though there was wedding going on right behind it. I met up with a few mates and chatted away, along with meeting new ones all while pointing away at various parts…
One of my favorite cars from the day is this insane e30 with a 1jz swap.
When you think of a car show built around specially selected cars and a fancy estate, you’d imagine that it would seem very exclusive and uptight. However, that’s not what this felt like. Everything was very laid-back and relaxed, and that’s exactly how I want a show to feel.
