I don’t think we could have asked for a more beautiful day in Regina for Fallout 2016 presented by EXCEED Automotive Specialties. I was wearing black jeans and I felt like I was going to melt into the pavement – but who’s complaining!? I wasn’t able to make it to any of the other meets this year, so I was pretty excited to be able to attend with my car and cover the event. It was a nice change up for me since I’ve been shooting drifting all season.
Pictured above is Kelby Galambos’s Nissan GTR, sitting with the EXCEED Automotive Specialties booth.
I was pretty impressed with the turnout, although I am told Defrost won this time around in term of numbers. It was nice to see people coming and going pretty well all day long, and the event stayed strong right ’til the end. It just couldn’t have been more perfect: nice cars, great people and warm October weather!
We can never thank our sponsors enough for showing us so much support at our meets. We want to send a special shout out to EXCEED Automotive Specialties from Saskatoon, Odd Man Out Performance from Regina, Mercenary Auto Care from Regina, Redline Society from Saskatoon and Fitted Graphics from Calgary.
Being a lover of Hondas, I couldn’t help but drool over Scott Deeley’s engine bay. It’s just so clean! And that sound when it fires up is something else… I’m pretty sure you don’t have to love Hondas to love this car.
Ian Stecyk’s time attack Subaru definitely caught my attention with that front diffuser. This is one crazy build! I think Anastas Maragos had the same idea with his camera in the background.
Shawn Abrahamson’s 240sx grabbed my attention from across the lot. This colour is so sleek.
I have never seen so many people gather around one car as there was around Evan Bahr’s RX-7 while he was on his 2-step. Needless to say, it was loud. I wish I would had gotten a photo of the crowd.
I’ve been watching Anastas Maragos’ progress on this Ruckus over the summer and I was pretty stoked he brought it out to the event. This thing is so badass!
After the meet, Anastas handpicked a few Hondas to take out for a sub-feature shoot to include in his feature video of the event: Donavon Kemppainen’s 4th gen Civic and NSX, Burke Wood’s Civic, Scott Deeley’s Civic EG hatch, Ryan Antune’s RSX, and my del Sol. A week prior, he also did a sub-feature with s-chassis’ which I was unfortunately unable to attend to shoot. I can’t wait to see the full video!
Thanks to everyone who came out to make this event such a success! It was a great way to close out the year here in Regina.
