It wasn’t until the day before that I remembered about the annual Access Communications Labour Day Show & Shine. Always blessed with great weather, it’s an event I will always try and make it to. I didn’t have a whole lot of time that day to hang out at the show, but I did bring my camera and got the chance to put my new wide angle lens to use. Having to squeeze in the viewing of roughly 600 cars before my tee time at the Royal Regina Golf Club meant I could only capture the cars that really stood out to me. I got a pretty decent amount of coverage, but there was definitely way more to be had. Anyways, we will get onto the pics.
One bad twin turbo Gallardo is right!
Sitting beside the Gallardo was this immaculate Ferrari Testarossa.
Pat Antonenko’s Re-Amemiya wide body FD3S RX7.
I have never seen an old Volvo like this one in such great condition. I’ve always marveled at Volvo’s original styling; there’s nothing quite like it!
I didn’t have time to note what kind of car this was, but it was one of the more intensive builds at the show that day. If I remember correctly, he is a member of the Majestics Car Club.
I almost walked right past this car but the wheels caught my eye.
Then I got up close and looked in the engine bay…
Vortec swapped and boosted! The Borg Warner turbo is absolutely massive…
And those wheels I was talking about were Weld drag race wheels.
Another classic with a new age fuel injected V8 swapped into it. The LS looks right at home in the SS’ engine bay.
A slammed Cadillac Eldorado Hardtop – another one of my favorites from the day.
The “Ford 2 Ton.” I have no clue what this thing gets used for, but it definitely draws your attention with the massive wing and uncovered engine.
Kyle Zimmer’s R32 Skyline drift car is no stranger to us here at DODOlogic.
An unbelievably clean Datsun 240Z. I remember seeing this thing for the first time at Majestics’ annual show earlier this year. It looks just as good – if not better – out in the sun!
Brennen Duncan’s super charged Mugen RSX on paint-matched wheels.
This old Lotus Elana was so cool and so small haha. I swear me and another buddy could have picked it up and walked out of the show with it over our heads! The old wooden dash and steering wheel was definitely something worth pointing out.
Chase Karchewski’s S14.5 on Work Meister’s.
I definitely thought this Model T was worthy of a picture, mainly because of the uniquely shaped stacks on the blower.
Across the way was another Model T with what we believed to be a straight 6 Jaguar engine. Super cool!
I can’t say I’ve ever seen this Mustang before, but the matte grey color looks great in my opinion.
I was also pretty impressed by the engine bay. My favorite part was the digi-camo valve covers – oh yeah, and the turbo.
Robbie Olbrich’s supercharged Mustang.
Lastly, we have this Soarer. I sort of wish the whole car was the color of the lip kit, but at the same time the color scheme somehow works – orange wheels and all.
Overall I was impressed by the quality of the show this year. There was tons of cool and new stuff to look at and it’s always a good thing to support events like this where the proceeds go to charity! Thanks for looking guys and girls.
