I have no clue exactly how many pictures I took at SEMA this year. Al I know is it took me 4 days to see the entire show and I still missed some stuff! I was smart enough to learn from last year’s mistakes, wearing skate shoes to the show for the first 2 days before I could barely stand on my feet anymore. This year we did a little shopping during our day trip to LA and I made sure to buy some good Nike runners, which made a night and day difference on my feet. You have no clue how big the show is until you actually go there and check it out for yourself. Lucky for you guys, sore feet and an aching back from carrying camera gear and swag isn’t something you have to worry about!
This year we got to see lots of the FRS/BRZ again, except a different kit was on the majority of them. Made by the same person, just newer and better if you ask me! Of course I’m talking about Kei Miura of TRA Kyoto 6666 Customs a.k.a. Rocket Bunny.
Another gorgeous NSX, this time rocking some Konigs at their booth.
A very nice GT-styled 4-door Civic; it seems so easy to make these cars look good, whether they are “stanced” or “track ready”.
A very nice R33 Skyline on what seems to be copper-dipped wheels. The colour combo is spot on.
At the XXR Wheels booth there was this little diddy: a Miata with a PitCrew front-end. Reminds me of something you would have seen a few decades ago.
I loved the canards and front lip on this GTR. It was very well-executed, making the monster look even more aggressive than normal.
Ahh, the Hankook Tire booth. They always have the best models! The cars are alright too, I guess.
I believe this root beer-coloured RX7 was part of the Hankook booth as well. The Volks Racing wheels and Project Mu brakes are quite the nice combo.
Although I would never do this to a Rolls Royce, I can appreciate all the effort that I’m sure went into building it.
Gorgeous Gallardo LP570-4 on HRE P101’s.
The ever-so-sick GMG R8 Le Mans car. For me, it’s seeing stuff like this that really makes me love going to SEMA.
GMG’s Gallardo.
The Dempsey Racing LMP2 challenger powered by Mazda’s Skyactive-D diesel power plant. I guess this car will be racing in Le Mans this year!
Danny George’s Miata looking broken with all that angle maxed out.
Forest Wang’s FD car looking really good under the hood.
Surprisingly there was a ton of the new Camaros this year. I normally wouldn’t stop to shoot a Camaro, but it’s hard not to when they’re laid out on the ground with big widebody kits.
Here it is, the talk of SEMA 2013: the Liberty Walk 458 in all of its widebody glory.
I’ll leave you guys with my favourite BRZ of the show, sitting on custom BBS wheels. There’s lots more coverage to come guys; so far I’ve only shown you a fraction of what I shot!
