Before I say anything, I’ll say sorry for taking so long with this post. Between building my car and work, I hadn’t been able to get to these photos. Today I was feeling under the weather and called in sick to work, which finally freed up time time to edit pictures (and watch eight episodes of Breaking Bad). But I digress… Three weeks ago we were at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway for Round 1 of the DriftWest series, and here are my selected photos from the day.
Team Mellow’s supercharged AE86, owned by Mr. Michael Quinn.
I guess it’s as good a reason of any to drift.
Ron Richards putting this shiny piece of American Muscle to the test.
A good friend of the site and local Sask. boy Jesse Olivier took a few runs to get used to the brand new — and very slick — pavement. But as the picture shows, he figured it out just fine.
Colton Burns threw it down all day and has a trophy to prove it.
Taking 3rd place in the competition that day was Roy Teeter and his super loud BMW.
Second was Michael Bourgeault in his S-Chassis.
As mentioned, Colton Burns in his old-school-but-totally-cool 1JZ-swapped Cressida snagged first place. And with that, I think we’ll call it a day. If you can, try to make it out to Regina for Drift West Round 2 on June 15.
