I’m going to level with you. I was out late at a Springsteen concert last night and I’m running on empty right now. But just because I thought it was a great idea to scream Born to Run at the top of my lungs doesn’t mean we shouldn’t post something today.
I haven’t really posted a whole lot of my SEMA shots. I thought it was better to take a step back and let the guys who’ve never been before take the lead. You can’t really recreate or play make-believe with the excitement you feel the first time you step onto that showroom floor.
The first few years I shot anything and everything — like a young Ash Ketchum I wanted to catch ’em all.
This year I found I was a little more reserved with my shutter speed. I tried to focus more on the cars that get me going.
Inevitability I took many pictures of all the different types of FR-S’s kicking around.
I also made sure to capture some of those drift cars that were scattered about. It’s always funny to see drift cars at SEMA, mostly because the season had just ended and they were still sporting battle scars.
This was Dave Golhke’s favorite vehicle at SEMA and he wouldn’t shut up about it. Much to Dave’s disbelief, I can appreciate this vehicle. He refused to believe that I would photograph and post this it on the site.
This was honestly one of my favorite cars at the show. Yeah, I have a weird crush on all things Fatlace, but they have a certain amount of flare for building cool street cars. Plus a pair of the limited edition Illest x Bride Zieg III type R seats can be found in this FR-S.
If you haven’t figured it out, I’m a giant nerd. I like the Justice League and although I’m not a KIA fan, nor would I ever be found behind the wheel of one of these, I still thought it was fun. They even made a Aquaman car and that makes me smile.
Like I said, I took pictures of things that interested me hoping that others would enjoy them. With that, I leave you with a picture of this amazing LS430 from Hawaii that has been equipped with a lot of JDM Celsior gear. It was an amazing example of what a VIP car can be.
