Good morning and a happy Tuesday to you. We are a day late due to technology issues yesterday but nothing has changed. I am still going to ramble endlessly about stuff I *think* is cool and you people are going to read it and think that I am not cool. Whatever, it is what it is. Let’s get this thing started…..
Just a friendly Reminder that Chris Klein from up in Saskatoon has put together a fun day of drifting at Kings Park this upcoming Saturday down here in Regina. You should come out and watch some banks get drifted and some straights get manji’d. All the info you need to know can be found on their Facebook event page here > https://www.facebook.com/events/271111726338689/

It is kind of weird. It is fall and there isn’t much really to talk about……….

DODOlogic is just under 4-weeks away from our pilgrimage to Las Vegas for the annual SEMA Show. Is it wrong going out on a limb and expecting that the FR-S/BRZ is going to have a huge presence at this years show? From the tidbits I have seen on the net there should be some interesting examples. Our 2012 SEMA Show coverage is going to be bigger and better than ever. Make sure you don’t miss it.

Global RallyCross is going to be holding an event out front of the convention centre after the doors close on the first day of the convention. Block, Foust, Pastrana and Hubinette are all said to be participating along with all the other staples from the growing series. I am pretty excited about this as any regular reader would know I try and follow GRC as closely as I can.

Speaking of the GRC, there was an event this past Saturday in Las Vegas. Tanner Foust is now leading the championship standings with the win. Brian Deegan finished 2nd while Norway’s Sverre Isaschen finished 3rd. I really wish one of the Canadian sports networks would pick this series up or at least show on tape delay.

The final event of the 2012 Formula Drift season is just around the corner. Vaughn Gittin Jr is currently leading the championship points race but ‘rookie’ Daigo Saito is close behind. All the action can be seen on Driftstream, of course, starting on Friday Oct 12th.

How better to congratulate your brand’s marque driver after a big round win in Las Vegas and a record breaking run up Pike’s peak than to rip the program right out from under him. That is what Hyundai did to Rhys Millen. Millen has been a workhorse for Hyundai taking part in Drifting, RallyCross and participating in Pike’s Peak for several years now. Not only has he been behind the wheel he has used his RMR company to build and showcase vehicles for Hyundai. Hyundai announced that it is axing their motorsports program and Rhys is an unfortunate victim of the cuts. What will happen with Rhys now is the big question.

There are only six more races left on the Formula One calendar with the next one taking place in Japan at Suzuka next weekend. Fernando currently has the points lead with Vettel, Raikkonen, Hamilton and Webber all within reach.
