This morning’s rundown is going in a different direction. First I will give a bit of a recap of our trip south to Las Vegas for this years SEMA Show. Then I will blab on about what we plan to do both during and after show hours. Let’s get this started…….
Our trip started at 4am Saturday morning in a chilly Regina, Saskatchewan. Before we knew it we were making a run for the border in my super practical and really cool Honda Odyssey and RyanB’s very average Toyota Celsior. The roads were great until about an hour into Montana when the snow began to fall and created slicker than ideal driving conditions.
Personally I don’t understand why no one took pictures of my van. I feel it looked just as good as the Celsior.
With an early start to the trip Jordan and Jason felt they would better serve the group by not getting any sleep the night before. Needless to say they spent many hours catching up on their zzzzzz’s in the comfort of one of Japan’s original luxury vehicles.
After spending 18 or so hours on the road we crossed into Utah and descended into Salt Lake City where we met up with a couple of really cool guys from D-Spare, a local drift/demo team. Watch for a feature on what they do in the coming weeks.
Yesterday morning we got up to make the lazy trip into Las Vegas where we were greeted with nice weather and a nice view of the south end of the strip. Last night we ate at DODOlogic’s favourite restaurant, The Burger Bar, and then proceeded to enjoy some beverages while walking the strip.
Today we will be picking up Devan from the airport and then heading down to the convention center to grab our credentials and check out seeding and first round of heats in the bonus round of Global Rallycross.
Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Like us on Facebook if you don’t already as we will be using them to share what we see in realtime.
That’s it for this morning. Time to burn off this hangover and get the day moving.
