In our first part of our coverage, I pretty much talked about where drifting in Saskatchewan needs to go. For this post we will do away with ideological jibber-jabber and just look at the event.
Chris Klein spearheaded this event with the help of some others some the drifting community. Here he is reaping the rewards of his time and effort.
This car may look somewhat familiar, it’s my old 180SX with a few changes here and there. No longer equipped with the XD9’s and some extra venting in the front bumper. It is nice to see the car being used for what I intended to use it for.
Here is Carter Jackson’s Silvia doing what he bought it for.
Kolton Ryan drove in for Weyburn for this event, some times his car sounds like an angry swarm of bees but he was doing really well out there. It’s nice to see some up and coming talent from all over the province.
Oh hey, it’s Carter’s Silvia again. Now you are probably wondering why there are so many pictures of his car. Simple, all the photographers agreed that his car was super photogenic so lots of pictures of his car turned out.
Garett Hilts brought out his R32 and proceeded to throw down.
I think their were only two LHD S-Chassis at the event and this was one of them.
Shawn made the trip out from Alberta to shred tire on the oval and be the only rotary at the track.
Shaun Teo brought out his Z for what I think was his second visit to a track behind the wheel. Some people would learn how to drift in a cheaper car, but not this guy.
