Wow, it has been a long time since I last made a post or a video for that matter. I suppose moving from Canada’s “Best Coast” back to Northern Alberta might have a role to play in that. I’d have to honestly say that moving back home from Vancouver was one of the toughest moves I’ve ever made. With so much culture, people and things to do in and around Vancouver, I felt like moving back to Alberta was a death sentence. But then, I realized that moving back home with such a negative attitude was very selfish of me. When you are surrounded by good friends and family you really have nothing to complain about, and I couldn’t be any happier. Oh yeah, and one other thing to be stoked about, the Drift Union Invitational!
I had been anticipating this trip for months, I remember calling my closest friends back in March to begin planning the trip down. We didn’t even know if the dates were completely confirmed or not but we didn’t care. This event is easily the gnarliest grassroots event in Western Canada, and with such a small drifting scene where we live, this was going to be one hell of a trip for us. By 6:00 am on Thursday the 28th, a convoy consisting of five friends departed from Grande Prairie, Alberta and headed south to Kelowna, BC.
