Monday Morning Rundown:Hot Stuff

Just the quick tidbits this morning as Dave slept in this morning and was too busy out in the sun watching Football last night to put together a proper post.  Now that I am done talking about myself in the third person, I will talk about other things in the third person.  Let’s get going…..

Our out-of-province videographer Devan has finished his first video from last weekends Drift Union Invitational in Penticton.  We will set it loose tomorrow morning for all to see.

Speaking of videos.  Ken Block’s Gymkhana 5 Is set for release sometime today.  If it hasn’t crossed your computer screen yet, you can watch why RyanB saw while he was down in San Fransisco on his honeymoon.

The British Grand Prix took place yesterday at Silverstone.  When pit crews weren’t getting run into by their drivers, Mark Webber was busy racing to the win.  Fernando Alonso finished 2nd and Sebastian Vettel ended up third.  Next up on the F1 schedule is Germany in a couple of weeks.

Formula D makes it’s yearly stop at Evergreen in a couple of weeks and once again RyanB will be there capturing it on film for all to see.  If you aren’t lucky enough to make the trip you can always watch it live on the Driftstream.

I don’t know what rock I have been hiding under but apparently Formula D driver Joon Maeng was fired from Bergenholtz Racing last week.  In Seattle you will be seeing Chelsea DeNofa in the RX8 that Joon failed to be successful in.  Perfect timing for Chelsea as his BMW doesn’t drive straight anymore.

We are currently in the middle of a 6-week break in the WRC calendar.  The next race takes place on the first weekend of August in Finland.  Sebastien Loeb owns the top spot in the standings.
