When in university, I had a list of bands I needed to see in concert. I have traveled to many places and seen enough shows. About 8 or 9 years ago, a fellow DODO contributor and I were discussing cars and I was lamenting over the fact that neither of us would never be able to own a Skyline. Dave was quick to inform of the 15 year rule and two years later I bought my 180sx.
Even though I didn’t buy a Skyline, I still have a soft spot for them. Like all of those concerts I saw when I was younger, I made and constantly updated my list of cars to see. I can remember the first time I saw each and every generation in person and I have made it my ambition to see as much as I can and in doing so I have somewhat replaced my concert list. So this past Sunday was something special to me because I saw my first C110.
It is funny to think of someone making such a huge deal over seeing Skyline, but I can honestly say seeing this old C110 is quite a different feeling. This car represents commitment, you don’t buy this car for speed but out of passion. A lot of love was given to this car to bring it into the current state it sits today.
Fender flares and some tire stretch just add to the entire package. The biggest difference between this Skyline and all the other Skylines I have seen, is that I walked away from this parking lot wanting one.
