I write this weeks edition of the rundown while being closely watched by the newest member of my family, Carson. If you didn’t already know, my wife gave birth to our second child last Wednesday evening and it has been a whirlwind few days since. So I hope everyone will understand that I am going to keep this weeks article on the narrow and share some thoughts and happenings. Let’s begin…..
It feels like it was just last weekend that DODOlogic hosted our second annual Defrost Meet and I am still amazed by the support of the community both from the Regina and Saskatoon areas. If you didn’t catch it a few weeks ago, we are exploring the idea of hosting a meet in Saskatoon this summer. We will keep you posted.

RyanB just happened to bump into Ken Block this past weekend while filming what appears to be Gymkhana 5 in downtown San Fransisco. Watch for a post with more photos and video in the coming days.

On Saturday Local VAG enthusiasts met up for the SK Dubs Meet and we had a couple guys there collection media. Watch for coverage in the coming days!

Twitter hasn’t really caught on in Saskatchewan like Facebook has. The events of this past week on Twitter involving the local municipal election have put the social networking outlet in the spotlight in these parts with a lot of new users are taking part in the action. That being said, Make sure you follow us on Twitter @DODOlogic. Personally, I have had an account on twitter for a few years now with not a single tweet until last weekend. Feel free to follow me @DODOdaveg while I try and give it a go!

The great Carroll Shelby passed away this past week. I can honestly say he was one of the few people that have made me think ‘Wow’ while in his presence. He has done heaps of good for the industry and will be missed by all.

The second round of the 2012 Formula D season took place at Road Atlanta this past weekend. The crazy Hotlanta fans showed up once again in droves and watched the drivers attack the course in a different layout than what it has previously been run. There was controversy and A LOT of smoke. When everything settled Justin Pawlak won for the second time, while Fredric Aasbo finished second and ‘rookie’ Daigo Saito once again impressed with 3rd. Next up on the Formula D calendar is June 1-2 in Palm Beach Florida.

I will completely honest when I admit I didn’t even know/remember there was a Formula One race this past weekend until after it was over. New babies turn your life upside down and you tend to not pay attention to what is going on around you. I was pretty shocked to read last night that Pastor Maldonado not only started the race on the Pole but ended up winning the race as well. The current season is proving to be interesting without domination performances from the regular names of the last few seasons.
2012 Spanish Grand Prix Results
1. Pastor Maldonado Williams
2. Fernando Alonso Ferrari
3. Kimi Raikkonen Lotus-Renault
Next on the F1 Calendar is Monaco on May 27th.

That is it from me today. Have a good week!
