Most people, by now, have heard of RWB Porsches. They are hand-crafted, beautiful road and track machines; meticulously put together with passion and painstaking precision. All of this is possible because one man, Nakai-San, has the utmost love for building cars- It’s his passion and desire.
We got to see such works of art at SEMA 2011 last November. Here we see the [Hoonigan] RWB Porsche which started life as a 964 Turbo and was completely revamped to be as crazy as the Hoonigan brand. It’s crazy to think that each and every car is built different and has different characteristics and personalities.
It is said that Nakai-San doesn’t use any design tools or Photoshop to render the cars. He goes off an idea in his head and builds the car to what he sees in there. By looking at the cars he builds, you have to fathom a guess that he is quite experienced at what he does.
This is the Illest 911 named Pandora One. Named after the radio station Nakai-San was listening to while building the car at Fatlace HQ. Another modern marvel showcasing this mans’ talents and 15 or so years of experience.
We ran into Nakai-San at SEMA and snapped a picture of the legend with the first American made RWB Porsche.
Here is a short video that eGarage made when they took a visit to the RWB shop in Japan. Its a small insight into Nakai-San’s mind.
a legend for sure
