So what is probably going to be most upsetting about today’s post is that I am starting the Giovanna booth with bicycles and not the hundred thousand dollar inventory of exotics. I don’t really even have a good reason for it, so you will just have to save your cristal popping for another day.
These are some of the first things you see when you approach their booth. That is of course if you aren’t blinded by the shiny wheels that adorn the back drop.
The booth is usually one of the more busy places to be and people tend to wander out in front of you while you are taking pictures. Most people don’t pay much attention to this two wheelers so it makes the picture taking a little easier.
Obviously the wheels are like skittles in that they come in pretty much all the colours of the rainbow, give or take a few.
I guess what strikes me as odd is that usually you don’t see a lot of the cycle culture cross over into exotic world, I mean we are use to seeing the hipsters and their fixies at meets but this seems like a whole other level.
Regardless of how many cycles they fit into that booth I am certain we will never see a Giovanna car with roof rack to carry those cycles. In the end they are still neat to look at.
couldn’t even imagine what the price would be for one of those bikes ha!
A sure fire sign of a cheap bike are reflectors, plastic pedals (ignore the plastic pedals comment for any bmx/DJ/freeride bike, but you can get 80 dollar plastic pedals but that’s a whole other story) and the old style seat gussets, this bike has two of those things so I would hope it wouldn’t be worth much /bikesnob
+1 layne. Giovanna should stick to the car scene.
not to mention those brakes aren’t even hydros, def cheap bikes! but i don’t think they were portraying them as expensive either, more of a neat item thing.
Hey hey hey! Don’t hate on mechanical brakes!!! I actually prefer mechanical brakes. Hydros are needlessly complicated and even though they offer superior braking power they are massive overkill for 90 percent of biking duties and are 3 times the price of mechanical. I prefer mechanical over hydros. Hayes Hydros came on that used bike I bought and I am switching them to over to good old Avids which only cost me 55 bucks
