I think I have used the word “heatwave” a few times this year in these Monday morning posts. Well I will use it again one last time, I think. This past week the weather has been unbelievable around these parts with temperatures well above normal and all the sun and blue sky you could imagine. Unfortunately it is September and thing have already started to cool off weather-wise and automotive-wise. Let’s get on with the rundown…….
The DMCC West season concluded last weekend in Penticton. All I have heard from the guys that traveled out west was how the track is amazing and is a pleasure to drive. It turns out some of the ‘eastern’ drifters are going to make one last trip out to Penticton this weekend to partake in Drift Union’s D-Day 17. Watch here for pictures next week.

The last event on the Calgary drift schedule takes place on the 25th. Sunday Funday was a blast last year and I am sure it won’t disappoint those in attendance this year. For more info check out — http://www.spec-d.ca/

The Formula D season winds up on October 8th at Irwindale. Anyone currently in the Top 5 of the driver standings has a ‘chance’ to win the overall championship so it should be a fun weekend of drift racing to watch on Driftstream. Everyone should start planning their viewing parties now.

The Famed Monza Circuit was home to the Italian Grand Prix over the weekend. I shouldn’t have to mention who won the race since it seems he wins every race these days. Sebastian Vettel looks to be this years champion as the season stands now with yet another win under his belt. Mr. Button finished 2nd and Fernando Alonso was 3rd. Next up on the Calendar is the Singapore Grand Prix on September 25th.

Rally Australia was the most recent stop on the WRC Circuit. The top 3 included Hirvonen, Latvala and Petter Solberg. Ken Block finished 19th overall.
