Most people who know me, know that I am not a big talker. That is, unless I am talking about cars. The main topic in most of my car related conversations is Honda. Roughly 80% of my close friends drive them, so it is something I get to discuss a lot. This past weekend was cruise weekend in Saskatoon. Sunday was the big day but Saturday can not be forgotten. Speedtech held a little show of there own in front of their shop on 51st street. Straying from the “main stream” muscle scene a tad there were 3 cars that really caught my eye.
This mint CRX is packed full of about every OEM JDM part you could find. The SiR front end conversion, Spoon seats and steering wheel were a real eye opener. A perfect example of how a Honda should be done!
After popping the hood it was obvious that the car wasn’t just all about looks. It is used for auto-cross and has put down a couple quarter mile passes on the strip as well.
The second car that really caught my eye was this orange Integra, sporting a J’s Racing GT wing. I was hoping to see something impressive under the hood to match it.
I wasn’t disappointed! Arguably the best consumer engine Honda has ever made was sitting under the hood. In all of its glory this K20 swap is the first I have seen in Saskatchewan. This of course makes it my favorite Integra I have seen in person. After seeing this car, I thought the day couldn’t get any better.
The Speedtech NSX is my dream car, every time I see this beautiful piece of engineering I drool a little bit. It was like the icing on the cake .
