As always, it is a pretty awesome sight seeing cars tear apart a track while sliding sideways. I can easily say it’s my favorite thing to take pictures of! Holding down your shutter for a series of shots only fractions of a second apart, you pan with a car and hope every shot comes out crisp and clear. Easier said then done though, only a fraction of the shots you take turn out the way you want them to. Who wants to see a blurry picture? No one does.
Can you guess who got the fastest speed on the track during pro runs? At 129km/h Conroy Ganson’s driving led him to take home first place on Sunday.
Twenty-four hours before this picture was taken, Kurtis Goat’s S14 was torn apart and being diagnosed for a big engine problem. Later that night I saw on his facebook he was in need of a replacement engine, unable to find one he had to make due with an engine blowing more smoke than what his tires created while drifting. I can’t deny it though, the smoke was thick, combining with tire smoke it created something perfect for drift photos!
Devin Horsley’s AE86 has to be my camera’s favorite car, taking pictures of this thing always renders great images!
Shawn Hawley, what else do I have to say? He tore it apart!
You were probably wondering where the tandem shots are, well here they are!
The pro podium looked like this:
1st Conroy Ganson
2nd Louren Sansregret
3rd Kurt Goat
