Well, happy long weekend everyone. If you were somehow unaware yesterday was Round 2 of DMCC West. So as usual we packed up the car and hit the road. This was my first time at Stratotech in Fort Saskatchewan and don’t let the name fool you it is no where near Saskatchewan. None the less is it was an eventful day.
Jon Schildwachter’s consistent driving placed him number 1 on the podium this weekend.
Alex Lee hot off his Formula D showing made the trip up from Calgary. Looks like he brought some of that tire smoke home with him from Formula D.
Devin Horsley and his fun hat managed to place second for this event. I pride myself on having relevant information on many of the drivers. This weekend I made an effort to learn more about Devin and quickly realized that the only thing suitable for the public to know about him is,that he has a fun hat.
The only thing that looks better then Kurtis Goat’s car being parked is seeing it drift. This StatusOne drift car looks better than most street cars.
Aaron Day of A Day racing took home third place for this event which is awesome as his car has seen better days. (pardon the pun). It was no surprise to me that Aaron placed so well, in fact I think I predict some type of podium finish for him at the beginning of the season. I think he has lots of great days ahead of him.
Matt Haase had some pretty impressive runs; He is only one of two V8’s in DMCC West.
Cody Duthie of Drift Squad made an appearance. I don’t actually know Cody all to well but his contributions to Drift Squad make me feel like I should. Plus, he rocks an S-Chassis which just adds to the awesome. The gravel pit was sort of like the angry sea swallowing fishy boats whole, except the fishying boats are drift cars.
