1:00 am day 2. We stopped for what was supposed to be a brief stop in Minnesota to visit some drifters that Gonzo knows. After a few hours of conversation we decided a nap would be a good idea before we continued. After a good two hour nap we were on the road again at 6am.
The drive through Wisconsin was pretty nice. Open road and blue skies.
Then we hit the gridlock of Chicago. It was a blessing and a curse all in the same token.
Once we passed through Chicago and hit the I95, it was all smooth moving traffic. We weren’t really sure where we were going, but after a bit of second guessing ourselves we had this rig pass us. The S14 belonging to Kris Hackenson. We had to be going in the right direction.
We ended up arriving a little late and the event was already underway. Once we unloaded Chris’s car and swapped some tires we were good to go. There isn’t a lot to say about Drift Indy Rage other than it was an awesome experience. It was just pure drifter fun. Ride alongs, multi-car drift trains, and drivers of various skill levels all having a blast. With that being said, enjoy the following gallery.
