We have had almost nothing to complain about in these parts when talking about the weather the last week. In fact, only one thing comes to mind. HAIL. There are going to be a lot of people here in southern Saskatchewan calling their auto insurance adjuster after yesterdays attack from above. Golf ball sized hail tends to do damage. Oh well……..
Canadian Dave Briggs qualified 1st, however he couldn’t make it happen in the elimination rounds. The final podium from Charlotte, North Carolina looked like this:
1. Chelsea DeNofa
2. Nate Hamilton
3. James Evans
The next stop on the XDC schedule is PGP in the Pacific Northwest on August 13th.

Formula D announced their TV schedule on Versus in the states this past week. Also mentioned in the release were networks carrying the 14 half hour episodes in countries like Astonia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Malta and Albania along with the rest of the more popular European continent as well as all of Latin America and South America. You would think that Formula D would at least try to find a network in Canada to carry their program………..Driftstream will do I guess.

X-Games Rally is a few weeks away and confirmed drivers for the event include Ken Block, Brian Deegan, Liam Doram, Tanner Foust, Marcus Gronholm, Dave Higgins, Robbie Maddison, Rhys Millen, Dave Mirra, Stephan Verdier and of course Travis Pastrana.
It is an all-star cast that will be racing through the streets of downtown Los Angeles on July 30th and 31st. The only problem is that television coverage is limited to those that get ESPN. What does this mean for Canada? Probably tape delayed ESPN coverage on TSN in the middle of the night sometime in September.

Our very own RyanB is going to be sharing his latest video creation on Tuesday. I am told the Video is of the Drift Union Invitational that was held in Penticton a few weeks back. Watch for it on your screens in the next 24-hours or so.

The Formula One circus rolls into Silverstone this weekend for the British Grand Prix. I will go out on a limb here and predict a strong Red Bull Racing presence on the podium.

At the Canadian Grand Prix Pirelli Announced that Ken Block was going to get some seat time in an F1 Test car next month at Monza. Looks like there is an issue. Ken is too big to fit in the cockpit of the decommissioned F1 series-used car.
