I have no recollection of ever seeing a Lancer Evolution such as Alex’s 2003 EVOVIII. I can proudly say this is the first one my eyes and camera lens have ever viewed.
Without a doubt the Evo is the true competitor to Subaru’s STI. The thing I like about the EVO is they are a little more rare in these parts then the STI.
Alex purchased the vehicle from Tyee Imports in British Columbia. Tyee imported cars are no stranger to our home town but Alex’s car is a change from the usual RHD cars we see coming from the coast.
Before the car actually arrived at Alex’s home, a shiny new set of Enkei RPF1’s in 17×8.5 +30 were waiting on his door step. The wheels were wrapped in 255/40R17 Fuzion ZRI tires and were the first thing to adorn his new car.
This car basking in a Saskatchewan sunset is… well, it is indescribable
Here’s the spec sheet on the Mitsubishi as of current:
Body: EVOVII tail lights; JDM MR edition rear bumper; OZ Rally spoiler
Brakes: Powerslot Rotors; Hawk HP+ pads
Rollers: 17×8.5 +30 Enkei RPF1’s; 255/40r17 Fuzion ZRI tires
Engine: K&N Intake system; Buddy Club turbo back exhaust; HKS intercooler hard pipe kit, 02 sensor outlet; Buschur Racing manual boost controller, Mini battery kit; Zaklee clear CAM gear cover
Alex has a few things on order such as a new valve cover and AEM CAM gears, he knows he has cams but is unsure of the size and make. His future plans for the car includes a front lip and the EVO IX 20g turbo along with a ported exhaust manifold.
