This past Saturday was the 4th annual SKdubs meet. This is our first real journey into the world of Das Autos. It is true we have dabbled in the past, but on Saturday we experienced full on VW life. We ate what they ate and cruised where we they cruised and it was grand.
Before we voyage too far into VeeDubin’ let’s take a look at some well placed vinyl on a very nice carbon Fibre hood.
The meet was held at the local VW dealership, burgers were served so it was awesome.
This Jetta is no stranger to site, but who could resist snapping some more pics of it.
It looks like there is some weird Audi timeline going on in this picture.
A VW with Porsche wheels, very nice.
My favorite thing about these two cars is the Jetta is driven by a family man and the R32 is driven by a Student.
I am uncertain what these cars do after Labor Day. On second thought, they are much too clean to ever be considered a fashion faux pas.
The whole time we were at the meet, I was half wanting a Customer to wander over to the meet and try to buy car. It seemed possible as some of the dealer cars were mixed in with the meet. I like to imagine that is what is happening here.
Shots like this seem mandatory at meets.
It occurred to me that VW owners aren’t super brash and loud like the enthusiasts that I am use to. They are about the details, it is the little things that collect into one big thing that a sweet VW is made of.
This meet was brought to you by the good people pictured above. So now that we have seen how they park, Part II of our VW filled Saturday will cover how they roll.
