Local Ride: House of Pain

As far as I can tell Istasha literally means “painmobile” and if that is the case then I guess the home of Jessica McKinnon is the house of pain. I am not going to get into the culture of Itasha, that is what we use google for. Besides, Jessica’s Del Sol isn’t full blown Istasha but rather just accented.

This little Honda use to be blue but Jessica had it painted 99 Lexus Medium Gray. Fun fact,  all the bodywork was done by her and her beau. Beau is of course old time speak for boyfriend in case you don’t know exactly what I am talking about.  Other than that the car’s visual look is put together with Street Fighter 1 body kit and a Buddy Club rear.

Jessica has also equipped the car with an HKS exhaust and Intake.  More engine work is to follow next winter and this summer should see some suspension upgrades. She also scrapped the stock wheels for something a little different.

Jessica says there is a story behind why  this certain character  adorns her hood.  The  character’s name is  Shana from “Shakugan No Shana,” which is the first Anime Jessica ever watched.  Apparently that is what the Japanese writing says on the car as well, but for I all I know, this could all be made up as I have no clue about anime.

Pretty sure we don’t need to introduce that character, but he is there watching… always watching!
