First and foremost, let me start off by saying none of this would be possible without Puff Daddy/P. Diddy; We all know he invented the remix. Following Mr. Combs’ example of taking that which already exists and making it better, Honda is trying the same thing. But it could be tricky because they don’t have Biggie Smalls in their corner.
The CR-Z is poised with a difficult task, it has to be contemporary while appealing to tuner sensibilities. Many just want Honda to take one of their more powerful engines and replace the IMA setup. (see now the title makes sense) Honda being the pioneers that they are have come up with the remix in association with Performance Auto & Sound Magazine.
The car comes equipped with 18 inch Enkei wheels and actually sits on BC Racing ER-Series coilovers.
Sorry Sport Fans, the engine isn’t a K20, but it does have an AEM cold air intake and a Magnaflow exhaust.
The seats actually look pretty comfortable but the inside mostly caters to the sound portion of Performance Auto & Sound Magazine with some upgraded gear.
The car is topped off with some aero and matte paint. Nothing about this car screams major increase performance from the stock platform. However, if you are buying a lightly modded car from the dealership, maybe it is a nice place to start? Some may sigh at the very idea of this car but it is nice to see them pursuing the aftermarket crowd.
