Andy Chung is one of those guys who bleeds Honda red.
As far as styling goes, he likes Hondas super clean with a bit of flare thrown in the mix. Whenever I think of Andy’s Civic, I think of how he always gets stuck hauling people around because of his four doors. All that added weight from multiple passengers can simulate excessive rim tuck. Andy will be making the simulated look a real look once he gets his new wheels, and I personally can’t wait! As you can assume, there’s no way he’ll be driving like that here in the winter.
For a bit of contrast, here’s a pic of the Honda in its prime last summer when we were in Calgary for DMCC:
Andy took out his N+ coil-over system and replaced it all with his stock suspension. As we all know, coil-overs don’t like extreme weather (but what — or who — does?).
Up until about a day ago, Andy was driving on stock SI rims with probably the baldest tires I’ve ever seen on a street driven car. Now its a different story — the classic steel wheels painted purple, wrapped in some winter rubber, let him grip the road and actually get from point A to point B.
The nice thing about summer is not having to worry about losing feeling in our hands after being outside for 15 minutes. When our frozen fingers — and our frozen worlds — start to thaw, Andy plans on rocking the lowest 8th generation Civic. Another shoot is definitely in store — one that we’ll actually take our time with!
Keep an eye out for more winter car goodness while there’s still snow on the ground and a chill in the air. Let’s just hope the cars aren’t out much longer!
damn those are ugly
so unreal, i love this soo much
Pretttty gayyy
Man I love this Civic. Always love seing its progress. Also what happend to the rear window visor or w/e? It is missing in the winter shots..
