So as the year is coming to an end I find myself thinking of what I did throughout the year. Making trips to both Saskatoon and Calgary for drift events were definitely the highlights of my summer, but a lot of little meets and photo shoots can’t be forgotten. This past summer was by far the busiest I have ever been in the automotive world. Now that I have gotten the taste of what there actually is for a car community in the Regina area, I am going to make sure I attend as many events and provide as much coverage for the readers as my wallet can handle.
I might as well start off part 1 of the 2 part article with photos from this past summer.
Speedtech’s Invitational at Autoclearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon:
I think everyone in Regina was a little upset that Corey got rid of his LS1 powered 240SX. At least Saskatoon’s Keenan Dodd is putting it to good use.
My personal favorite drift photo I have ever taken is of Devin Horsley sliding his AE86 on the bank. It just so happens to be that his car is my favorite as well.
Kyle Zimmer ripping the banks apart for the first time, there’s no way I wasn’t putting this in the article!
Cruise weekend in Saskatoon and the downtown show and shine:
Since there isn’t any artistic value to show and shine shots I’ll keep it to my favorite car on the street that weekend. This super clean and classic Nissan is a prime example of how sweet classic Imports are.
DMCC Round 4 in Calgary:
It isn’t automotive related but it’s a big reminder of the trip to Calgary. It was my first time ever seeing a downtown as big as Calgary’s and it is now my favorite place I have ever visited. This was the view right off our balcony, it is of one of the tallest building in Calgary’s skyline.
My second favorite drift photo I have ever taken of Kurtis Goat during the pro-practice session.
This FD blew my mind, louder and faster than any car on the track. Driven by Conroy Ganson, his turns to follow in tandem were also stunning!
In first place, the youngest driver ever to win DMCC was Alex Lee and his sick JZX.
Thanks for looking and stay tuned for part 2 of my Favorite Photos of 2010 Article where I’ll have my favorite photos of the rest of my 2010 summer meets and shoots!
Wicked shot dude! That’s the best pic of my car I’ve ever seen.
