So, I finally decided to post my own ride. A while back I did a solo-photoshoot.It kind of felt weird not being surrounded by others who usually have more equipment and better technique. After shooting Joe’s Jetta with Scott, I decided to go for a little drive around the city and grab some photos from various locations. However, as the Regina day turned to night I realized I was missing my tripod.
Right after I picked up the tripod, I went back to the industrial area where we had been shooting Joe’s VW. The big machinery and equipment makes for an amazing backdrop. However, as soon as I got there several semis rained on my solo civic parade. They parked in the middle of my potential photoshoot location not leaving any space for me. Not willing to call it quits just yet, I packed up and moved on. I parked the car for a quick drink and I kind of liked the lighting. Or maybe not but I still took a couple pictures there anyway. (need to work on WB skills)
Then I made a quick stop for some gas. I always liked these “gas station” shots.
A quick stop at the Honda dealership to check out the new stock of cars, hoping to find a CTR. My hopes quickly turned to broken dreams…
Finally, I headed downtown looking for some different ambient lighting. I found an old spot where my friend Pho once shot the car. This last spot made for some of my favorite pictures.
My favorite of the whole night…
Maybe some of you remember our road trip to Indian Head for the Show and Shine. Since we are walking down memory lane…
I quite enjoyed it as it was my first time showing what I had put into my little red civic.
Mainly characterized by the under-hood job done by buddy Misha (make sure to check out his car).
The reason for this article is because the car has now been sold and no longer resides in Regina.
I put a lot of time and parts into the car, those parts include:
– Engine swap – B18C from JDMSource – kept stock
– EG6 rear disk conversion – from SpeedTech Ed
– Slotted and drilled rotors front/back
– EBC red stuff pads
– Front braided lines
– GSR rear sway bar
– Ground Control/Yellow Koni
-Skunk2 catback
– Mod 69 wheel
– NRG quick release and hub
– EG6 cluster
– ESM11 15×7 – 0 offset wrapped with 194/15 Toyo T1R
– Wink mirror
– Mishimoto slim rad
– T1R lugnuts
– HID
– Aftermarket sound stuff

Maybe irrelevant but this is what it started as.
I surely miss this.
Every Honda lover misses this car here in Regina. Atleast it isn’t too far away now.
White balance is super far off in pics two and three? Is this an artistic idea?
it was me and my bad skills with the WB. someday ill get it.
Luis: Shoot in RAW?
Auto WB is accurate like 99% of the time for me anyways. and if not, I drop it into photoshop and correct it within 15 seconds..
Hey, I am now the current owner of the car, and have changed some things up with it, and after seeing this, regret changing it.
