This ad campaign from Subaru is titled “Get More Gs.” and that couldn’t be more true. Subaru had Dave Mirra (one of their rally drivers) at the wheel of the new 2011 WRX STI. The plot is simple, Mr. Mirra picks up randoms in the street, takes them for a spin they will never forget, as they all feel some G forces. PURELY Hilarious.
The Subaru WRX STI doesn’t look all that new really, but actually features a lot of updates. Updates like revamped suspension, new pillow-ball bushings in front and stiffer bushings for the rear subframe. The exterior gets some updates too with modified bumper, new lip spoiler and a larger front grille, as well as new 18-inch wheels. Two of the most interesting things about the new car is both the WRX and the STi will come in a widebody, and you can get the Sedan in a STi with the return of the trademark Spoiler.
The result is a 305 horsepower turbo four-door vehicle, which this year has taken the fastest time at the famous Nürburg Ring for a STi EVER!. Clearly, Subaru has step up their game!
